Amal Clooney
Amal Clooney (born Amal Ramzi alamuddin) is a lawyer from Britain and Lebanon, a human rights activist, and charity philanthropist. A graduate of Oxford University and New York University School of Law her extensive and impressive career in the fields of international law and human rights has earned her acclaim internationally. Her notable clients include the nation of Armenia which is fighting the Turkish government over the recognition and apology of the Armenian Genocide. Amal Clooney engaged American actor George Clooney to marry him in 2014. The couple instantly became an iconic name in pop entertainment. Prior to this, she was already been well known within the legal community for her ability to represent clients. Her expertise ranges from social justice issues and human rights issues to representing corporations in the negotiation process or litigating cases involving government regulations. In 2015, she was an attorney, a type of legal representative within British court at the London-based Doughty Street Chambers.
